Yes. Motion Reel has an MCP server and a REST API. Claude Code, the Claude app and Codex connect with a sign-in, no key to copy; Cursor and other clients use an API key. Your agent sees a preview of every post before it's scheduled. ### How do I get in? Sign up with your email. We approve new accounts by hand and email you when yours is ready. ### Can I post one video to Reels, TikTok and Shorts at the same time? Yes. Upload it once, pick the accounts, set each platform's own options (trial reels on Instagram, who can see it on TikTok, the title on YouTube) and choose a time. Each account shows its own status and link once it's out. ### How does comment-to-DM work? You pick a reel (or every reel), a keyword (or any comment) and the DM. When someone comments, Motion Reel sends them the DM through Instagram, usually within a minute. Each person gets one DM per reel, and your own comments never trigger it. Instagram only. ### Do I need a business account on Instagram? You need a professional account, Business or Creator. Instagram only lets apps publish to those. Switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app. ### Which platforms does it post to? Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. On TikTok you choose: post straight to your profile, or send it to your TikTok inbox as a draft to finish in the TikTok app. ### Is this the same as Motion Skill? No. Motion Skill makes reels inside Claude Code. Motion Reel posts them. They work well together, but each stands on its own. ### Does it change my video? No. Motion Reel posts the file you upload as it is, with no watermark or logo added. ### What does it cost? It's free for now. You need a professional account, Business or Creator. Instagram only lets apps publish to those. Switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app. ### What's a trial reel? A reel Instagram shows to people who don't follow you first, so you can see how it does. You can share it with your followers later, or let Instagram share it if it does well. ### Does comment-to-DM work on every reel? You choose one reel or every reel on the account, and a keyword or any comment. Each person gets one DM per reel, and your own comments never trigger it. ### Does Motion Reel change my video? No. It posts the file you upload as it is, with no watermark or logo added. ## Questions about TikTok ### Should I post directly or send a draft? Post directly when the video is finished, sound included. Send a draft when you want to add a TikTok sound or the caption in the app. TikTok allows 5 waiting drafts a day. ### Why do I choose who can see it every time? TikTok asks apps to let you choose for each post, from the options your account has, so Motion Reel never picks one for you. ### Can I post the same video to Instagram and YouTube too? Yes. Upload it once, pick your TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts, set each one's options and choose a time. ## Questions about YouTube Shorts ### Will it post as a Short? Yes, when the video is vertical or square and up to 3 minutes long. YouTube decides from the video itself. ### Do I have to say whether it's made for kids? Yes. YouTube requires an answer for every upload, so Motion Reel asks each time and never fills it in for you. ### How do I remove Motion Reel's access to my channel? Disconnect the channel in Motion Reel, or remove Motion Reel from the third-party access list in your Google Account. ## Questions about the MCP server ### What is an MCP server? MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how AI agents like Claude use other apps. Motion Reel's MCP server gives your agent tools to upload, schedule and check on reels, the same ones the dashboard runs on. ### Which agents work with it? Claude Code, the Claude app, Codex and Cursor, and any other MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP. ### Do I need an API key? Not for Claude Code, the Claude app or Codex: they sign in. Cursor and other clients use a key you make in the dashboard under API & MCP. ### Can my agent post without asking me? Every change comes back as a preview first, and Motion Reel tells your agent to show it to you and wait for your yes. A read-only key can't change anything at all. ### Is there a REST API too? Yes. The same operations are at https://motionreel.app/api/v1, with an API key in an Authorization: Bearer header. GET /api/v1 lists every endpoint. ### Can my agent connect new accounts? No. You connect Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts yourself in the dashboard, with each platform's own login. Your agent works with the accounts you've connected.
