What you need
- A YouTube channel. You connect it with Google, and can remove Motion Reel's access any time in your Google Account.
- Vertical or square videos up to 3 minutes post as Shorts.
- MP4 or MOV, up to 300 MB. 1080 × 1920 (9:16) looks right everywhere.
Motion Reel uploads through YouTube API Services. Connecting a channel means agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies. You can remove Motion Reel's access at Google Account permissions.

Will it post as a Short?+
Yes, when the video is vertical or square and up to 3 minutes long. YouTube decides from the video itself.
Do I have to say whether it's made for kids?+
Yes. YouTube requires an answer for every upload, so Motion Reel asks each time and never fills it in for you.
How do I remove Motion Reel's access to my channel?+
Disconnect the channel in Motion Reel, or remove Motion Reel from the third-party access list in your Google Account.
